Gucci releases advertising visuals set in Tokyo! Broadcast on five big screens at Shibuya Scramble Crossing

Jul 1, 2016

Gucci has unveiled the visuals for its Autumn/Winter 2016-17 advertising campaign.

After capturing the hedonistic abandon of Berlin, Germany, in its Spring/Summer 2016 campaign, it was only natural for Gucci to focus on Tokyo, a city brimming with eccentric subcultures, for its follow-up Autumn/Winter 2016-17 campaign. While Berlin is a city where ruggedness and romance collide, Tokyo exudes a bold personality, dynamically blending tradition and hypermodernity.

Models clad in Gucci immerse themselves in Tokyo's chaotic swirl of light and sound, wandering aimlessly from neon-lit streets to pachinko parlors. The vibrant city of Tokyo, where tradition and modernity, tranquility and chaos intertwine, psychedelically stimulates the senses, and Gucci Creative Director Alessandro Michele's creations resonate beautifully within.

These new visuals will be available in Japan from July. A 60-second version of the advertising visual movie will be broadcast simultaneously on five large screens at Shibuya Scramble Crossing.
