Mori Building Co., Ltd., NHK, NHK Educational, and NHK Promotion will hold the "Design Ah! neo" exhibition, an experience-based design event, at TOKYO NODE, the information hub at Toranomon Hills, from April 18 to September 23, 2025.

"Design Ah! Neo" is an exhibition that expands the concept of the NHK Educational TV program "Design Ah! Neo" into an experiential space. It has previously been held at 21_21 DESIGN SIGHT in 2013, and at six art museums across the country, including the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation and the Toyama Prefectural Museum of Art, from 2018 to 2021, attracting a total of 1.16 million visitors.

This year's "Design Ah! neo" exhibition will feature new works on new themes, while maintaining the concept of getting children to enjoy various ways of thinking and discovering about design. While previous "Design Ah! exhibitions" have focused on the theme of "things," the theme of this exhibition is "actions (verbs)" - "walk," "eat," "sit," and "hold." The works begin with basic verbs that are essential to our daily lives, and continue with works related to a variety of verbs.

Through 35 works created for the "Design Ah! neo" exhibition, such as "The Feeling of Being Eated," which makes you feel like you're being held or pinched between large chopsticks, and "A Crowd of Hands," a piece in which many of the handles around us sprout out, we will reexamine the "actions (verbs)" that we normally perform unconsciously from a design perspective.
