Christian Dior has appointed Maria Grazia Chiuri as its Women's Artistic Director, effective July 8th. She will be the brand's first female artistic director and will oversee the haute couture, ready-to-wear, and accessories collections. Bernard Arnault, Chairman and CEO of LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, said, "Maria Grazia Chiuri is an internationally acclaimed and talented woman. Maria Grazia Chiuri's first collection as Artistic Director will be presented in Paris on September 30th during this year's Paris Fashion Week.
