OFF-WHITE c/o VIRGIL ABLOH will open its first flagship store in Japan, "SOMETHING & ASSOCIATES" c/o OFF-WHITE TOKYO (5-2-13 Minami-Aoyama, Minato-ku, Tokyo) in Minami-Aoyama, Tokyo, on July 9th. Following its flagship store in Hong Kong, which opened in December 2014, this second street-level store is based on the concept of a fictional Wall Street office. The design was created in collaboration with creative director Virgil Abloh, Dong Ping Wong of the New York-based architectural firm FAMILY NY, and his partner Oana Stanescu. The store is furnished with vintage furniture and old-fashioned Mac desktops. Additionally, Virgil Abloh's signature water cooler, which recreates the social spot found in American offices, features an LED screen on the wall behind it that broadcasts live brand news. The store will offer a full line of ready-to-wear and accessories for both men and women. Going forward, the store will also be releasing items that are exclusive to its directly managed stores on an irregular basis. The store will also be releasing the 2016 Fall/Winter collection for both men and women on the opening day, July 9th.
