A new hostel, WISE OWL HOSTELS TOKYO, located near JR and Tokyo Metro Hatchobori Station, will have its grand opening on July 22nd. "Owl" means owl in English, and the hostel's concept is "being as wise and nocturnal as an owl, and having fun until late into the night." A Eurasian eagle owl named "Hachi" (Eight), the female hostess, will be stationed at the entrance as a symbol of this concept. The beds are equipped with Simmons mattresses, ensuring that guests returning from a night of Tokyo fun can enjoy a comfortable night's sleep, even if it's only for a short time. Accommodation is available on the second to fifth floors, with nightly rates starting from ¥3,600 for mixed dormitories and ¥3,800 for women-only dormitories. Private rooms are also available, with bunk beds starting from ¥7,600, double beds from ¥8,000, and four-person family dormitories from ¥15,000. Room rates change depending on the season. The top sixth floor will feature a fully furnished 83.81m2 serviced apartment. It will have one king-size bed and one semi-double bed, accommodating up to four people. Aimed at families from overseas, the apartment will have room rates starting from 600,000 yen per month (tax and service charges are included in the accommodation fee). The first and basement floors of the building will house restaurants that are open to non-guests as well. The first floor will feature "Fukuro," a restaurant serving local sake, oden and side dishes with a dashi-themed menu where you can enjoy sake from all over Japan, and "WISE OWL CAFE," a specialty coffee stand that uses coffee beans from Sangenjaya's "OBSCURA COFFEE STAND." The basement Sound & Bar "HOWL" is not only a bar space, but also a space for enjoying live music. Aiming for the ultimate in comfortable sound, the space was designed with the cooperation of architectural acoustics specialist Hidemaro Shimoda, vacuum tube amplifier maker Komatsu Acoustics Laboratory, and Hida woodworking company Oak Village. Yosi Horikawa designed speakers specifically for the space, creating a space with a total floor space of 89.89 square meters where you can experience the best music possible. On July 9th, a paid music event featuring media artist Daito Manabe and others was held, and the space is expected to continue to evolve as a venue for art performances, DJ events, and more. Hatchobori Station offers easy access not only to central Tokyo but also to Tokyo Disneyland, making it a popular spot for a diverse range of domestic and international travelers. According to the share company that planned and operates the space, they are considering expanding to Shibuya and Kyoto in the future.
