To celebrate the brand's 170th anniversary, LOEWE is holding the "Signature Collection - The Ultimate Modern Craftsmanship" in the central hall on the first floor of the Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Building until the 26th.
The event focuses on two series from the collection modernized by creative director Jonathan Anderson. One of these is the "Signature Collection," created to commemorate the brand's 170th anniversary. This leather collection features LOEWE's past brand marks, from the crown logo befitting a brand that has received a royal warrant to the latest anagram updated by Jonathan Anderson. The "Shopper Bag Signature" (184,000 yen) from the collection is available for pre-sale at the venue.
The other new release is the "Marquetry in Leather" collection, which explores the possibilities of leather. "Marquetry" refers to Loewe's never-ending spirit of exploration and challenge in new technologies, and items will be available that utilize Loewe's unique, advanced techniques, in which leather pieces cut using the latest leather technology are intricately fitted together using Loewe's craftsmanship, creating a finished piece that is almost like a single piece of art. The "Peche T Pouch" (120,000 yen), which will be sold at the venue, is scheduled for delivery from August onwards. Other items on display include the much-talked-about "Hammock Small Bag" (240,000 yen), which can be used in six different ways, and the "Avenue Bag" (129,000 yen), which features an anagram printed all over the body. There will also be a "Loewe Lounge" serving special cafe lattes featuring the brand's logo.
