Shu Uemura will release the "EYE-conic" collection on June 1st as the second part of its anniversary collection commemorating the 30th anniversary of the opening of its Omotesando boutique.

The brand's international artistic director, Uchiide Kadoyasu, imagined the "iconic girl," an impressive woman who makes everyone turn their heads. The collection is also an homage to the era of Shu Uemura's first fashion makeup collection, "FLAGGY," and to Uemura himself. The lineup includes 20 products in total, including "Triple Color Eyeshadow" (5 limited edition types, 2,940 yen each), a three-color eyeshadow with different textures inspired by the prints of the time, "Lasting Soft Gel Pencil" (2 colors total, 2,100 yen each), a pencil-type retractable eyeliner with good color payoff, "Duo Color Cheek" (2 limited edition types, 2,940 yen each) which comes in a set of two colors with a pearl and matte texture, and "Rouge Unlimited Supreme Matte" (6 new colors, 3,150 yen each), a smooth matte lip color.

Also available are "Rainbow Sensation" false eyelashes (5,250 yen) and mini stone-adorned eyelashes (3 types, 1,575 yen each), which are exclusive to the Omotesando Hills main store, Isetan Shinjuku store, and Hankyu Umeda main store.

In addition, starting with the Printemps Ginza store, which reopened on February 20th, the counter design of "Shu Uemura" will be completely revamped. Uemura's concept of an "open artist's atelier" will be embodied in new features, such as "shu LIVE," which plays videos of makeup artists including Uchide; "shu LASH," which displays "Qee Bear," an art toy bear with eyelashes from Hong Kong; and "shu BEST," which shows best-selling products at a glance. The new design will be gradually introduced to approximately 100 stores worldwide this year, including the Tokyu Toyoko Department Store, which will open on April 4th.
