An installation show for Tumugu, a new brand launched by Naoshi Sawayanagi, who will also be participating in Tokyo Collection, will be held at the Textile Net Exhibition, a joint exhibition of fabrics and auxiliary materials, to be held at Laforet Museum Harajuku on April 3rd and 4th.
Designer Naoshi founded Tumugu with the concept of "connecting people, and the downstream and upstream of apparel, like weaving thread." The pieces in this show were designed by Naoshi based on analog Polaroid photographs taken by photographer Asada Hiroshi. They are original graphic works printed with inkjet technology on textiles from companies participating in the exhibition. The show is directed by media artist Okubo Yusuke and will feature projections using the latest projectors. The show will begin at 7 PM on the 3rd.
Other events planned include an autumn/winter order exhibition for CONTRARIANT, a brand by Tomaru Hironori, as well as seminars on the latest trends and manufacturing.
