Hummel, together with J3 club Fukushima United FC, has announced their fourth uniform, which is based on rice, one of Fukushima's famous products. The uniform is on sale from noon on August 29th on the Fukushima United FC official online store.

In the hopes of helping to dispel negative rumors about products from Fukushima following the Great East Japan Earthquake and Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant accident that occurred on March 11, 2011, the team planned a rice uniform to be worn by the team exclusively during the autumn season.
In fact, prior to this rice uniform, Fukushima United FC and Hummel had been releasing a "peach uniform" since 2017. This year, they wondered if there was something they could do to coincide with the harvest season in autumn, and the Fukushima United FC Agriculture Department created a "rice uniform" with a rice motif, a project they have been working on since 2018.

Promoting Fukushima rice, a national prideFukushima Prefecture cultivates varieties such as Koshihikari, Tenno Tsubu, Hitomebore, and Satoyama no Tsubu, with a production volume of 368,000 tons, ranking 6th in the country (Organization for Assurance of a Stable Rice Supply, a public interest incorporated association).
In the Japan Grain Inspection Association's 2019 rice taste ranking, four brands of rice produced in Fukushima Prefecture achieved the highest ranking, earning it the highest number of awards in Japan for the third consecutive year, demonstrating its reputation for deliciousness.
The team will wear this "rice uniform" in official J3 League matches to widely promote "Fukushima rice," a product that Fukushima is proud of nationwide.

The uniform has a yellow base color, with the body and chevron lines featuring the beautiful golden color that spreads across the Fukushima countryside during rice harvest season.
The design features an illustration of ripe rice ears, expressing the joy and gratitude for the harvest.

Takumon Hashimoto said,

"I'm really excited to be wearing the rice uniform for the first time. As with the peach uniform, I'm filled with gratitude to everyone who gave me the opportunity to wear the rice uniform. Also, working in the fields myself, I understand firsthand the hardships and challenges faced by farmers. What we players can do is wear this rice uniform and convey the appeal of Fukushima's agriculture and rice, even just a little. We'll do our best as a team, giving it our all and striving for victory."

He spoke of his determination to wear the new uniform.


The Fukushima rice uniform will be worn from autumn, in line with the rice harvest season. The match dates on which it will be worn will be announced at a later date.

The uniform will be available at the Fukushima United FC official online shop. It will be available in five sizes, with a total of 60 units for sale.
