Viktor & Rolf to hold dress fair at Hankyu Umeda store, featuring new jersey dresses and ribbon clutches

Apr 3, 2013

Viktor & Rolf will be holding a dress fair at its Hankyu Umeda store from April 10th to 23rd.

The fair will feature the 13SS collection, featuring a lineup of comfortable jersey dresses and beautifully draped asymmetrical dresses. Accessories will also be available, including clutch bags featuring the brand's iconic ribbon in a three-dimensional design, and ribbon stitch heels (110,250 yen) and bags (120,750 yen) from the "Ribbon Stitch" series, which feature embroidered ribbon sketches by the designers.

Viktor & Rolf was founded by designers Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren. The brand got off to a spectacular start in 1993, winning three awards at a new designer contest in the south of France: the Press Award, the Women's Award, and the Grand Prize. They have collaborated with apparel brands such as H&M, as well as with other genres such as strollers and suitcases. They also release capsule collections every season, including "Black Dress" and "Soir Dress." The eyewear worn by the two designers has been popular for its retro design since its debut in 2004, and is said to have sparked the recent eyeglasses boom.
