[Paris Report] Renzo Rosso praises new works from Margiela and Viktor & Rolf, big news coming soon?!

Mar 11, 2013

Renzo Rosso, founder and president of Diesel and owner of Only the Brave (OTB), a company that owns numerous brands, spoke to us during Paris Fashion Week. When asked about his impressions of the Paris shows, he commented, "Viktor & Rolf's collection was excellent, with a clearer focus on clothing. They're aiming for something new and amazing. There will be some surprising news in the coming weeks. The Maison Martin Margiela show was also fantastic. I was impressed by the many new discoveries." "Japan is a country I love. It's the OTB Group's largest market, with a market size of 340 million euros. I also visited the Isetan Shinjuku store last week, where our brands, including Marni, Diesel, Diesel Black Gold, Dsquared2, and Maison Martin Margiela, are all available."

Furthermore, regarding his own business, he said, "I want to continue to create the highest quality products and be a company that is supported by our customers. Becoming a large organization is important, but what's more important is being a cool company that runs a cool brand."

Mr. Rosso was born in Padua, northeastern Italy, in 1955. Since founding Diesel in 1978, he has expanded the business and is also the owner of OTB, a holding company that owns Diesel, Maison Martin Margiela, Viktor & Rolf, and Staff International (which manufactures and sells brands such as Dsquared2, Vivienne Westwood, and Marc Jacobs men's collections).
