Tabio, a manufacturer and retailer of socks, has launched TabioARTS, a label where various artists from across genres can design socks. TabioARTS is an art sock label that invites artists who love socks and fashion to design socks across genres. Using socks as a canvas, artists can freely create designs using graphics, photographs, illustrations, and more, based on their own unique perspective. The first release from the label will be a limited-edition pair of socks (25-27cm/2,940 yen) designed by actor Tadanobu Asano. Asano commented, "Punk starts from the feet! I designed these socks to paint the streets awash in punk." The socks will be available exclusively at the Tabio online store and ZOZOTOWN. Tabio is committed to providing the delicate comfort of socks made in Japan, and operates 282 sock specialty stores across Japan under the brands Kutsushitaya, Tabio HOMME, and Chaussettes. They also have stores under the name "Tabio" in Paris and London.
