Model Jessica Stam was born on April 23, 1986, in Ontario, Canada.

In 2003, she rose to fame when she appeared on the cover of Italian Vogue, photographed by photographer Steven Meisel. Shortly after, she appeared in the Valentino advertising campaign for AW 2003.

She has also appeared in advertisements and runway shows for numerous brands, including Marc Jacobs, Anna Sui, Miu Miu, and Gucci.

Marc Jacobs released a bag called "Stam" inspired by Jessica in the SS 2006 season.
