Designer Takahiro Miyashita's "TAKAHIROMIYASHITATheSoloIst." (TAKAHIROMIYASHITATheSoloIst.) Fall 2013 collection, "symphony#0008," marks the brand's first theme. The theme was "American Dandies." The collection showcased items selected by Miyashita himself as part of a week's wardrobe, including jackets, pants, shirts, and knitwear. The brand's tag was also redesigned. For the first time, coats and jackets are made with interlining. Designer Miyashita personally tried on the pieces repeatedly, fine-tuning the patterns to achieve a comfortable silhouette that fits the body perfectly. Materials include flannel, tweed, cashmere wool, and cashmere beaver. The high-quality materials are deliberately washed to create a unique texture, with raw hems and cuffs frayed, revealing the lining.
The shirts have slightly long collars to balance them with jacket styles, and coin pockets are placed above the flap pockets on coats and jackets, with these meticulous details expressing the brand's "charming dandyism."
Other items include deerskin motorcycle T-shirts, down sweaters and vests with changed colors and switching designs, as well as continuing patchwork denim.
In addition, this will be the last of the five seasons of eyewear created in collaboration with OLIVER PEOPLES, and the lineup of six items will be released sequentially from September 9th.
