COACH and Saint James, known for their French striped items, have released a collaboration. The items are available at Coach stores, including the newly opened Coach Omotesando in Oak Omotesando, and at the official online store from April 26th. The women's lineup includes canvas tote bags (¥44,100 and up), clutch bags (¥33,600), and sleeveless long dresses (¥33,600). Men's items include canvas totes with leather trim (¥79,800), pouches (¥31,500), and windbreakers (¥49,350). The V-neck striped T-shirt (¥19,950) features a limited-edition Coach design. Other items include beach towels (¥16,800) and key rings (¥10,500). All items feature the special "SAINT JAMES for COACH" logo. Founded in the late 19th century in the city of Saint James in Normandy, France, Saint James's clothing was first used by merchant sailors and the French Navy, eventually becoming popular resort wear for the general public. Its products are known for being worn by Pablo Picasso, Humphrey Bogart, Jean Seberg, Audrey Hepburn, and more recently, fashion icons Alexa Chung, Karl Lagerfeld, and Johnny Depp. While Coach has previously collaborated with New York-based fashion brands and artists, such as Anna Sui, this is a rare opportunity for the brand to partner with a French brand. The shared history and unwavering style of both Saint James and Coach, founded over 100 years ago and over 70 years ago, likely contributed to this collaboration.
