To commemorate the release of the film "Why I Love Shoes," French patisserie Sébastien Bouillet will be selling a special cake inspired by the shoes featured in the film for a limited time from May 1st to May 31st on the first basement floor of the main building of the Isetan Shinjuku store.
The special cake features a heel-shaped chocolate filled with refreshingly lightly sweet lychee pulp. It is elegantly finished with a raspberry, cassis, and panille macaron. The price is 2,625 yen.
Born in Lyon, France in 1976, Sébastien Bouillet is one of the world's most renowned patissiers, having been certified as the youngest member of Relais Desserts, an international association of renowned pastry chefs, in 2004. He currently operates five patisseries and macaron and chocolate specialty shops in France and two in Tokyo. The film features star designers from brands that women aspire to wear at least once, such as Christian Louboutin, Manolo Blahnik, and Pierre Hardy, as well as celebrities including Fergie and Dita Von Teese. This is the world's first documentary that delves into the relationship between women and shoes, a sensual and fascinating presence that has captured women's hearts throughout the ages. It will be released in theaters nationwide, including Shinjuku Musashinokan, from May 11th.
