Music streaming service Spotify has launched a new playlist series called "track IDs," created in collaboration with world-renowned DJs and Spotify editors.
"track IDs" was born from the question DJs often get asked when they play: "Can you tell me the ID of this track?" These playlists, which allow DJs to easily share tracks played at clubs and events, provide dance and electronic music fans with the opportunity to discover new music and connect DJs with listeners around the world in ways never before possible.
This global project features Ken Ishii and Qrion from Japan. Other DJs participating include Aluna, the singer of the London-based electronic duo Aluna George; Belgian model Amelie Lens; South African deep house DJ Black Coffee; British legend Carl Cox; and German house DJ Dixon, each of whom has released a playlist. The playlist will be updated weekly, with new DJs scheduled to join in the future, so keep an eye out for future lineups.

Dixon's Playlist and Commentary

It's no secret that the tracks I usually play aren't the music I'm actually into at the time. However, given the current unusual circumstances, this playlist feels very personal. It includes songs I'd played on dance floors before lockdown, but also includes some I've never played before. I can't wait to see what listeners think.
Amelie Lens's Playlist and Comments

The songs I've chosen for this playlist are ones I actually use in everything from small parties with friends to big stages at festivals. I hope you enjoy them.
