A new, hidden landmark has opened in a back alley just off Cat Street. SIX HARAJUKU TERRACE will open in Harajuku on April 4th. It's located at 5-16-13 Jingumae, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo. A total of eight stores will open, including new formats and Japan's first permanent locations. One of the most noteworthy is the Restir concept store, 221RESTIR. This is 221's second store after Osaka, and its first in the Kanto region. Compared to the heavily trafficked 221 in front of Umeda Station in Osaka, the newly opened store is located in a more secluded, less crowded location. Aimed at a more core target demographic, it's designed as a "young fashion hub." The Harajuku store has two floors. The first floor primarily houses men's clothing. The store's displays, including surfboards, amps, guitars, and Marshall speakers used by professional surfers, are designed to evoke the image of a man living a "surf rock" lifestyle. Listear's Director, Hiroyuki Shimizu, said, "We focused on the 'surf' culture that was popular from the 1970s to the 1980s. We want to create a store that embodies the lifestyle of a cool man, combining delinquentism, innocence, and a gentlemanly spirit. We want young people to come here and be inspired by the joys of fashion." He also hopes to promote young brands from Japan and Asia and share them with the world. "Ideally, in the future, we'd like to become a select shop that can promote 'Made in Asia' products to Europe and the United States," Shimizu said. He expressed his desire to disrupt the standardization of the fashion industry. The women's floor on the second floor features a lineup of the store's original brand, LE CIEL BLEU, as well as imported brands. The store's selection of real clothes, with a street vibe and playful spirit, includes items like cat stoles and rabbit-ear sneakers. Other shops within Six Harajuku Terrace include MSPC PRODUCT sort, a concept shop run by master-piece, a bag brand committed to Made in Japan fashion; APIS hair salon; WTW SURF CLUB, a surf-style shop; and a selection of restaurants. Among the food options, the highlight is the debut of ACAI CAFE, run by Sambazon, the No. 1 acai brand in the US. Sambazon's cafe offers four types of acai bowls and smoothies, including a matcha bowl exclusive to Japan. Enjoy the recipes from their California cafe. The mall also offers a diverse range of dining options, including Aloha Amigo, a new-style casual bistro that combines Hawaiian and Mexican cuisine, and BYRON BAY COFFEE, an authentic Australian-style coffee stand.
