The fashion direction for the opening of Isetan Salone, a new store by Isetan Mitsukoshi Holdings to open inside Tokyo Midtown on April 3rd, will be "black and white." Contemporary artist Hiroshi Sugimoto will be involved in the interior design of the store.
To coincide with this, a new brand, "T.G.I.F. Ready for the Weekend," will debut. The brand targets "women who value their individuality and simply want to enjoy good things," and will offer limited-edition items in collaboration with TAROHORIUCHI and Beige, which have attracted attention at Tokyo Collection. According to the shop's product planning manager, "Lady for the Weekend, located on the second floor of the main building of Isetan Shinjuku, targets women who fulfill three roles: as a woman, a wife, and a mother, and has focused on offering relaxed, casual styles and fashion for everyday outings. This time, we have Isetan Salone customers in mind, and we want to propose outfits that we would like women who value time spent in self-reflection to wear." The brand offers a selection of simple yet stylish items that will broaden the scope of your outfits, such as a dynamic tank top with all-over pleats, a jersey rider jacket that is comfortable to wear even for long periods of time, and a simple T-shirt accented with a monochrome print. The monotone items are enhanced with textures and details. In addition to the original brand, limited edition items based on the theme of "black and white" will also be available. From "mame," there is a dress with delicate lace and a beautiful, feminine drape. HYKE also offers monochrome tops and flat-silhouette denim outerwear, pants, and skirts. Dries Van Noten has released monochrome sandals with large jeweled designs.
By using the basic fashion colors of white and black, it seems that the individuality of each brand will be highlighted.
