From June 19th to August 5th, Balenciaga will take over the second floor of the Colette store in Paris for an event.
A unique international shopping simulation, developed exclusively for Colette by Balenciaga, allows customers to view street views of several cities around the world through the store's windows. To further enhance this experience, a specially developed "car interior" scent will be dispersed throughout the space.
In addition, from June 19th to 25th, an installation will be held in Colette's street-facing window, where two transparent boxes of blue sand will fall from above, covering the white Balenciaga logo and disappearing.
In keeping with the corporate spirit of the Fall/Winter 2017-18 Men's Collection, the event will also feature a "copy service center," where customers can customize white T-shirts and hoodies with various graphics using two touchscreen digital printing machines. The project is limited to 900 copies and will run from June 19th to July 10th.
Special items will also be available exclusively at colette, featuring classic pieces selected from the Balenciaga women's collection made with the materials and colors of the Fall/Winter 2017-18 men's collection. Also available will be limited-edition products such as event-exclusive eye masks and mugs, as well as a vinyl record limited to 100 copies containing the soundtrack from the Fall/Winter 2017-18 women's runway.
In addition, there will be a special event for five days from July 2nd to 6th, where nail artist Mei Kawajiri, who has also worked on Balenciaga shows, will recreate nail art from past men's and women's collections for free.
