Valentino's Kobe Daimaru store will open on April 18th. The two-floor store will carry both women's and men's collections, as well as all other categories, including accessories. To celebrate the opening, limited-edition bags and shoes will also be released. The store concept continues the structure devised by creative directors Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli, and architect David Chipperfield. Terrazzo stone wall panels and Palladiana marble flooring evoke the beauty and solidity of a swimming pool. Meanwhile, the display system employs the contrasting materials of wood and brass. The light materials, set against the terrazzo stone, create a subtle contrast between contemporary and classic elements. Additionally, the benches are kept simple and the counter is finished in an island style.
