The Y's Floral Collection, featuring a peony flower motif, will be released in Japan on August 7th at all Y's stores and the official online boutique.
The Y's Floral Collection features vibrant embroidered peony flowers created exclusively for Y's by an artist from the long-established Kyoto Yuzen dyeing company, Chiso. The iconic footwear collaboration between Y's and adidas is based on the design of the Y's Diagonal Stan Smith, a collaborative shoe that was well-received in the 2017 Spring/Summer and 2017-18 Fall/Winter collections.
Bold embroidery covers the outside of the upper, creating an impactful look never before seen. A variety of embroidery thread colors are used to faithfully reproduce the subtle shading of the flowers.
Chiso embroidered the peony design, which Y's then designed. After numerous exchanges, they worked with adidas to faithfully reproduce it on the Y's Diagonal Stan Smith. The vermilion peony stands out vividly against the white and black body.
The peony, known as the king of flowers and used in proverbs to describe feminine beauty, has a stately and plump appearance. This modern take on traditional floral designs, fused with streetwear (everyday wear), embodies the philosophy behind Y's clothing creation. Similarly, embroidered clasp bags and tote bags, and printed scarves add a touch of glamour to the collection.
The footwear collection is genderless, available in sizes from 23cm to 29cm.

As the name Diagonal (diagonal line) suggests, this footwear features a unique design with a twisted upper created by diagonally laced shoelaces, and is vividly decorated with vermilion peonies. The "Stan Smith" on the heel tab and the graphic text "Y's" and "SUPER POSITION" printed on the outer heel of the upper also add accents.
Available in two colours, white and black, and in sizes ranging from 23cm to 29cm, this is a unisex model that can be enjoyed by both men and women.
