Communications director Chie Morimoto has released a video titled "Ohanashi no Ha" (The Story of Ha), produced as part of Mitsukoshi Isetan's Mother's Day campaign, "goen° Plant Planet by Chie Morimoto." The lyrics are by Morimoto, the music by Miu Sakamoto, and vocals and performances by Sakamoto, Yuichi Ohata, and Double Famous. Directed by Yuko Hata. Starting at 2:00 PM on April 29th, participating artists will march through the Isetan Shinjuku store. The video begins with Sakamoto singing like the wind, and tells the story of a mother tree passing on the "ha" (the "ha") of a story to a child tree. Appearing in the video are characters like an owl setting off on a journey and a girl collecting memories in her pocket, conveying messages that the story should be passed down. A story filled with messages from parent to child and from child to parent unfolds on a planet composed of Morimoto's "Goen Mandala." To create the video's worldview, Morimoto requested musicians and artists, "Imagine a non-human, much larger life form singing, like the mountains are mother, the sea is mother, and a being so vast that it's impossible to compare to humans is mother. I want the music to be scattered throughout the video without any sense of unity, so that the plants are buzzing with the music." On the 29th, from 2 PM, participating artists will parade through the 1st, 5th, and 6th floors of the Isetan Shinjuku main building, performing music. Also, from 1 PM, an event will be held at Beauty Apothecary on the 2nd basement floor of the main building, where Miu Sakamoto will read the picture book "Ohanashi no Ha." Additionally, from the 29th to May 5th, the "goen° plant planet by Morimoto Chie" event will be held at The Stage on the 1st floor of the main building. The space expresses the loving world of parents and children depicted by Morimoto, and will feature a number of collaborative items with brands such as ZUCCa, e.m., KEI Hayama PLUS, and Monchhichi stuffed toys.
