A never-before-seen Mr.Children photo exhibition will be held at Shibuya Parco

Apr 7, 2015

Photographer Yabuta Osami's photo exhibition of Mr. Children, "BLACK BOX -unpainted face of Mr. Children-," will be held at Parco Museum in Shibuya from May 22nd to June 15th. Yabuta Osami is a fashion photographer who works in a wide range of genres, including magazines, catalogs, advertisements, and movies. He first encountered Mr. Children at a recording studio in New York in 1999, and has since continued to photograph their album covers, live performances, and more. He also has a close personal friendship with the band, and the photographs on display capture the true faces of the four members, a quality only Yabuta could capture. Regarding the exhibition, Yabuta commented, "This time, in a silent space, I hope you'll see not Mr. Children as artists, but the four of us as we are, in our everyday lives. I hope you'll experience their charm, without doing anything special. Here, we're just Mr. Children."

A photo book featuring the exhibited works will also be on sale at the venue.
