The four-star London West Hollywood hotel in Los Angeles is currently renovating an 11,000-square-foot, two-story penthouse inspired by Vivienne Westwood. Completion is scheduled for May 18th.
The renovation, one of the largest in Los Angeles, features Vivienne Westwood ornaments and art. The spacious 2,000-square-foot Grand Salon features a large corner sofa accented with brand cushions and decorative pieces, as well as custom cabinetry and luxurious furniture. A large, custom-made rug made from handmade Tibetan wool sits in the center, featuring the brand's iconic Squiggle pattern, which first debuted in the 1981 Pirates collection.
In addition, three new Metropolitan Suites, ranging from 1,600 to 2,200 square feet, have been added to the second floor of the penthouse and are designed to resemble luxury residences. The master bedroom features a Vivienne Westwood wall hanging titled "Adventure." Other unique touches include hand-painted tapestries featuring designs from the 2001 Spring/Summer collection, "Exploration." The 5,000-square-foot rooftop terrace offers sweeping views of Los Angeles. The suite also features exclusive Vivienne Westwood amenities. Guests can enjoy a one-hour private shopping experience at the Vivienne Westwood store in West Hollywood, with special discounts on all merchandise. Regarding the reopening, Andreas Kronthaler, Vivienne Westwood's design partner and creative director, said, "We carefully selected rugs, wall hangings, curtains, cushions, and other elements that would capture the essence of the brand for this luxurious apartment. It was exciting to see our designs transformed into part of the interior."
