Piaget presents its 2020 High Jewelry collection, entitled "Wings of Light." Piaget's mystical and rare creations are expressed through three themes: "A Fascinating Journey," "A Magnificent Haven," and "A Dance of Ecstasy." Reaching a tranquil oasis of trajectory and harmony, the setting sun glows like an ember as dusk descends.

Chapter 1 - A Fascinating Journey through the Skies

Majestic Plumage (Magnificent Feather) Set

Bird wings have long been a beloved motif in jewelry design, but Piaget has elevated them to the pinnacle of High Jewelry through its artisanal skills and imaginative use of color. This feather marquetry necklace, created by Métiers d'Art (a title awarded to France's Living National Treasures) Nelly Saunier, recreates rich tropical hues, and the gem setting features sapphires and spinels of varying hues, evoking the plumage of exotic birds. The centerpiece is a rare and beautiful 7.49-carat Paraiba tourmaline, one of the most sought-after gemstones, with Mozambique being especially rare. The necklace can be worn as an ear cuff by removing the feather marquetry, or in two separate pieces for each ear.

The earrings, designed to highlight the beauty of red spinels, feature 2.7-carat Tanzanian spinels. Their pear shape and pinkish hue enhance their rarity and value. Each piece took 140 hours to craft in the Piaget workshop.

This cocktail ring combines the finest stones and craftsmanship, and took eight months from sourcing to assembling. The stones include a vibrant indigo blue tourmaline and a pear-shaped spinel in the perfect "hot pink" hue.

Chapter 2 - A Magnificent Haven

Secret Cenote Set

After your journey across the shimmering earth, you'll arrive at a stunning oasis. A cascading stream of blue water leads to a tranquil spring. Earth, stone, and water combine in perfect harmony in this natural pool known as a "cenote" (Spanish for "sacred spring"), and the color of its waters is deeply soothing. The central 22.68-carat "Ceylon" sapphire, reflecting the cenote's crystal-clear waters, comes from Ratnapura, Sri Lanka, known as the source of the world's largest and most colorful sapphires. Perfectly capturing the flowing water and immersive depths, this necklace took skilled artisans 230 hours to craft.

Inspired by tropical plants, this watch features a dial evoking the lush, rich colors of nature and features the world's finest black opals from Australia. Piaget first incorporated these natural stones into its watch designs in the 1960s, and has since cherished them as a signature design element. Baguette-cut sapphires are set alternately with baguette-cut and brilliant-cut diamonds, expressing the elegant Piaget style.

Chapter 3 - The Ecstatic Dance

Rainbow Light Set

After resting, it's time to celebrate the beautiful miracles of this world. The gold and deep rose hues evoke the image of the sun sinking into a golden glow. The Rainbow Light earrings recreate the ethereal glow of a sunset with unique stones such as rubellite and pink tourmaline. Representing the warmth of a sunset, the pink gold is adorned with delicate palace decorations crafted by hand. This finish uses ancient techniques and special tools, etching the gleaming metal surface to create a softer effect. This miniature world is filled with hornbeam, maple, tulip tree, sycamore, leather, parchment, and even rye straw.

This beautiful marquetry technique, using wood, stone, straw, leather, and parchment, is also used in the Rainbow Light watch, which combines one of Piaget's signature off-center hour and minute counters with a tourbillon cage.

Come join us on a fantastical journey aboard the Wings of Light.
Enter a sparkling world of excellence and originality, passed down through the ages.
