A stunning tribute to creative passion, boldness and self-transcendence, Aya Nakamura's performance was one of the key moments of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games Opening Ceremony. Accompanied by the 60-member Republican Guard Band and the 36-member French Army Choir, Aya Nakamura performed a medley of her iconic songs "Pookie" and "Djadja," making the Pont des Arts, which connects the Louvre and the Institut de France, more iconic than ever as a unique bridge where eras, cultures, tradition and modernity meet in the name of freedom.

An asymmetrical corset and shorts dress was adorned with golden feathers, each hand-embroidered by the artisans of Maison Le Marie, and which were also featured on the dancers' costumes. It was truly a magnificent gathering, celebrating the excellence and elegance that Dior and its ateliers at 30 Avenue Montaigne, the birthplace of Parisian haute couture.
