Dior Fine Jewelry's iconic collection, Rose des Vents, celebrates its 10th anniversary. To mark this milestone, a special movie has been released in which Creative Director Victor de Castellane talks about the behind-the-scenes of its creation and its poetic inspiration, drawing renewed attention to its beautiful worldview.

A poetic story that began with the compass rose
When Victoire de Castellane first became Director of Dior Fine Jewelry, she visited Monsieur Dior's boyhood home in Granville, Normandy. While strolling through the mansion's gardens, she came across a mosaic-decorated "compass rose." This iconic motif inspired the creation of the collection, "Rose des Vents."

She reinterprets the wind rose as a rotating medallion with a diamond at the center and a rice grain motif. The colorful stones set within each tell a different story, like the landscapes encountered during a journey.

Rose Céleste: A Play of the Moon and the Sun
The poetic world of Rose des Vents is further expanded with the Rose Céleste collection. This line is themed around the moon and sun, symbols of the universe. As Victorique describes it, "Hide and seek between the moon and the sun," with softly curved motifs exuding a dreamlike atmosphere.

Charms Inhabited by Dior's "Lucky Star"
Christian Dior was famously superstitious, and this spirit is alive and well in the Rose des Vins charms. Nature-inspired charms such as lily of the valley, bees, and ivy, a symbol of loyalty, are elevated as symbols of good fortune in jewelry.
