Music and fashion collaborations are being announced one after another.
Dempagumi.inc has collaborated with atmos to release T-shirts on ZOZOTOWN. Based on the artwork from the members' solo albums of their single "Den Den Passion," released in May of this year, the lineup includes six simple T-shirts featuring the members' images printed on them, as well as six women's body designs developed with the concept of "enjoying fashion for women." Prices are 6,300 yen and 9,240 yen.
Kamisama Kamattechan has collaborated with the TOKYO FM program to release the "Nesshin Cap by CA4LA," an original product for "Kamisama Kamattechan's FM Kamattechan Channel," inspired by the "Nesshin Helmet" worn by vocalist Noko. Based on an easy-to-wear M-shaped baseball cap, it features "Nesshin" (god) on the front and the Kamisama Kamattechan and CA4LA brand names on the tag. It costs 4,800 yen. It is on sale at TOKYO FM's official shopping site, "Shops.Love."
The noise idol band "BiS Kaidan," formed by the idol group "BiS" and the noise band "Hijokaidan," has collaborated with "RAGEBLUE" to release a limited edition T-shirt. This was made possible because the director of RAGEBLUE has long been a fan of Hijokaidan, and the "STAMFORD OF NOISE T-shirt" is an existing casual T-shirt printed with "STAMFORD" with "OF NOISE" added. In addition, from 10:00 on August 10th, members of BiS Kaidan will be selling a limited edition set of 200 special posters and T-shirts at RAGEBLUE in Shibuya 109 Men's Building. The price is 3,500 yen.
And now, Rockin' On Japan, the company that produces music magazines such as "ROCKIN' ON JAPAN" and music festivals such as "ROCK IN JAPAN FESTIVAL" and "COUNTDOWN JAPAN," has launched a character x rock collaboration T-shirt brand called "Rockin'star★."
A total of 20 T-shirts featuring popular characters such as Mickey Mouse, Snoopy, Hello Kitty, Spider-Man, the new Evangelion movie, Batman, Beck, Saint Young Men, Inio Asano, Hisashi Eguchi, and Naoki Yamamoto, as well as illustrations by manga artists, will be on sale from August 14th for 3,500 yen each on the official online store.
The models wearing the collection include miwa, Nikaido Fumi, 9mm Parabellum Bullet, THE BAWDIES, Goto Mariko, coldrain, TOTALFAT, Negicco, Shima Ryohei (Dresscodes), and Hatakeyama Shohei (The Mirraz). Their individual styling suggestions are also available on the official online store.
The reason collaborations like this one are being announced one after another is that while CD and magazine sales are declining, merchandise sales at live shows and events continue to be strong. It seems likely that many more such initiatives will be rolled out in the future.
