The pop-up event "Memory of Trip - Travel, Records and Memories" themed around "new travel" as a new culture in Tokyo will be held at the TOKYO Kaihoku area on the second floor of Isetan Shinjuku from August 14th until the 26th.
The event will sell new limited edition products, including the Mt. Fuji-themed "TRAVELER'S NOTEBOOK HIGHWAY EDITION Mt.Fuji," a collaboration between Nakameguro stationery brand TRAVELER'S FACTORY and NEXCO Central Japan, as well as collaboration items with the film adaptation of Jack Kerouac's novel "ON THE ROAD" (released August 30th).
Other items sold at the store include travel-related items such as the tourist guide "d design travel" published by Nagaoka Kenmei's D&DEPARTMENT PROJECT, and travel wear recommended by the relaxed wear brand IN YOUR LIFE.
Traveler's Factory's signature product, the Traveler's Notebook, was born from a design competition held by stationery manufacturer Design Phil (formerly Midori) in 2006, and was commercialized in March 2007. It has become known to a wider range of people through word of mouth from ordinary stationery lovers and blogs by photographers and artists, and has grown to the point where a flagship store was opened in 2011. The brand has collaborated with many different companies, and in February it released a stationery line in collaboration with the American airline Braniff International, supervised by Koichi Yanagimoto, who is known as a collector of a wide range of items, from art to gadgets, with a focus on American culture.
