The fourth edition of "Bato-ma," a joint exhibition of design, art, and products by H.P. FRANCE, will be held at Laforet Museum in Harajuku from May 22nd to 26th. This year's exhibition will be themed around Christmas, showcasing essential Christmas items such as gifts and decorative items for creating a unique atmosphere. While typically open to buyers and the press, this time the exhibition will be open to the general public. The venue will feature a fantastical diorama inspired by a "dreamlike Christmas town." The installation was created in collaboration with "Tobira no Mukogawa," one of H.P. FRANCE's creative teams, and the creative office "kloka." During the exhibition, a limited-time shop, "Tobira no Mukogawa in Laforet Harajuku," will open on the first floor of Laforet Harajuku. Like the exhibition itself, the interior will be Christmas-themed, featuring products from designers and artists who exhibited at the joint exhibition "rooms." There are also plans to produce gift-oriented products and original goods by designers and artists.
Christmas is an important sales period in the interior design market. To secure merchandise for this season, it is necessary to order in May, but there are no exhibitions specifically for Christmas in the Japanese market, so merchandise is imported from overseas. This Ba to Ma event aims to improve the current situation, revitalize Japan's Christmas market, and secure new business opportunities.
