And this fall, following a successful global tour in Shanghai and London, the Gucci Cosmos exhibition will arrive in Japan. With spatial design by British artist Eze Devlin and curation by Italian fashion researcher and critic Maria Luisa Friesa, this large-scale, immersive exhibition will run from October 1 to December 1 at the Kyoto City Kyocera Museum of Art. Organized in collaboration with Kyoto, the sister city of Florence, where the Gucci brand was founded, the exhibition will celebrate the longstanding creative ties between Gucci and Japan, and will include works unique to Japan.
Over the past 60 years, Gucci has drawn inspiration from Japan's rich traditional culture and vibrant pop culture, developing numerous projects that connect deeply with the people of Japan.
