MUJI U.S.A. LTD., a member of the Ryohin Keikaku Group, has decided to open its flagship store, MUJI Fifth Avenue, on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan, New York, this fall. Scheduled to open in October, the new store will have a sales floor area of over 1,000 square meters, making it the largest MUJI store in the United States.

MUJI U.S.A. LTD. currently operates nine stores in the United States. Following its first store opening in a shopping mall on the West Coast (Palo Alto, California) in July this summer, MUJI Fifth Avenue will be its 11th store in the United States. It will stock a total of 3,500 items, including 500 clothing and miscellaneous items and 3,000 household goods.

By opening a store in New York's Fifth Avenue, one of the world's leading shopping areas, MUJI aims to spread its "simple and comfortable life" philosophy to even more customers and to accelerate its future expansion in the United States.
