■ About MIDO
Georges Schaeren founded MIDO on November 11, 1918, the day the armistice ended World War I. Since that symbolic day, MIDO has moved confidently into the future, fueled by our founder's clear vision. In 2018, we finally celebrated our centenary, following the path our founder set out, preserving the MIDO DNA that has been shaped over the course of a century: timeless design, high-quality materials, and technological innovation.

Today, MIDO is based in Le Locle, at the foot of the Swiss Jura Valley. Mido means "I measure" in Spanish. Since its founding, MIDO's philosophy has been a fusion of aesthetic beauty, reliability, and functionality, values that are shared with the glory of its iconic, historic buildings. Cutting-edge innovation, high-quality materials, and exceptional movements are its three pillars. Furthermore, its sophisticated and understated design is supported by timeless quality, enduring beyond the sway of fashion and trends.

For a century, Mido has been the benchmark for Swiss mechanical watches. Currently, Mido has 2,700 authorized stores in 70 countries and is part of the Swatch Group, the world's leading watchmaker.
