First store in the Yokohama area! Blue Bottle Coffee cafe stand opens at New Man Yokohama

Blue Bottle Coffee Japan LLC will open its first store in the Yokohama area, "Blue Bottle Coffee NEWoMan YOKOHAMA Cafe Stand," inside "NEWoMan YOKOHAMA," which will open at the west exit of Yokohama Station on June 24, 2020. "Blue Bottle Coffee NEWoMan YOKOHAMA Cafe Stand" will open as a cafe stand-style store on the first floor of "NEWoMan YOKOHAMA," located at the west exit of Yokohama, facing the bus terminal.

NEWoMan YOKOHAMA Cafe Stand offers not only carefully hand-brewed coffee and espresso drinks, but also pastries and light snacks such as the "Lemon Sundae," which is on sale only this season, and "Blue Bottle Coffee Pale Ale" on draft, as well as "Waffle Parfait," which is available in advance.

Also at the time of opening, a pop-up cafe space with 26 tables will be available on the same floor, where customers can relax and unwind. The cafe stand, designed by Schemata Architects, is simple yet comfortable with a white base, offering a space where customers can refresh themselves with a delicious cup of coffee in the busy everyday life of Yokohama. Reminiscent of the first Blue Bottle Coffee store in Hayes Valley, San Francisco, this casual cafe stand is perfect for stopping by on your morning commute or as a starting point for your sightseeing in Yokohama.

Blue Bottle Coffee's iconic menu item, the Liege Waffle, is made using homemade dough, carefully baked one by one after an order is placed, and served fresh, brimming with a sweet aroma. We are now introducing a Waffle Parfait made with milk ice cream from craft ice cream brand HiO ICE CREAM, available first at the NEWoMan YOKOHAMA Cafe Stand.

The "Waffle Parfait" is a mini-sized, piping hot waffle topped with milk ice cream made by "HiO ICE CREAM" using single-origin milk from Biei Town, Hokkaido, allowing you to enjoy the exquisite taste and changing temperature.You can choose from toppings such as "Coffee" made with a sprinkle of coffee powder, "Fruit Jam" made by hand using seasonal fruits, or "Chocolate" topped with the same ganache used in mocha drinks.

The "Lemon Sundae", which was well received when it was released for a limited time in 2019, is back this season exclusively at the NEWoMan YOKOHAMA Cafe Stand. This lemon sundae is a popular lemonade at Blue Bottle Coffee cafes, enjoyed by a wide range of customers, from children to adults, made with homemade lemonade syrup with a secret ingredient of yuzu, and topped with lemon sorbet from "HiO ICE CREAM," made with a generous amount of fresh lemon. The fresh lemon aroma and refreshing smoothness make this a perfect dish for the warmer seasons.

At NEWoMan YOKOHAMA Cafe Stand, we want to make specialty coffee available in more situations, so we will be selling Blue Bottle Coffee Pale Ale on draft. This was developed in collaboration with Ise Kadoya Beer of Mie Prefecture.

"Blue Bottle Coffee Pale Ale" is a coffee pale ale made by steeping coffee beans from Blue Bottle Coffee's long-standing classic blend, "Three Africas," in Ise Kadoya Beer's pale ale, which has won numerous awards at beer competitions around the world, to bring out the aroma and flavor.

"Blue Bottle Coffee Pale Ale" can also be enjoyed at Blue Bottle Coffee cafes nationwide. (The only cafes where you can drink it on draft are the NEWoMan YOKOHAMA Cafe Stand and Hiroo Cafe.)
