On June 1st, Van Cleef & Arpels introduced three new pieces featuring green tsavorite garnets for the first time in its butterfly-themed jewelry collection, the "De Papillon Collection."
The "De Papillon Pendant" (1.1 million yen) features a butterfly motif slightly tilted, representing a butterfly flapping its wings in pursuit of sparkling diamonds. The beautiful harmony of white gold and yellow gold, and the tsavorite garnets and diamonds, reminiscent of the greenery of spring, give the jewelry a dazzling sparkle.
The "De Papillon Earrings" (2,575,000 yen) are a pair of earrings made of white gold and diamonds, and yellow gold and tsavorite garnets. The butterfly motif features different colors on each side, creating a playful design.
The "De Papillon Entrée Les Dor Ring" (2,575,000 yen) features a motif of two butterflies facing each other, evoking the phrase "just the two of us," one of the maison's themes. Asymmetrical designs are a specialty of the maison, and the ring is made from the same materials as the original, white gold and yellow gold, tsavorite garnets and diamonds.
The "De Papillon Collection," first released by the maison in 2001, is a collection that embodies the pinnacle of the maison's jewelry-making techniques, and the tsavorite garnets used in the three new pieces in this collection all meet the maison's own strict standards.
