Shiseido will host "A Century of Perfume Bottles - Focusing on Baccarat and René Lalique" at the Shiseido Art House from July 17th, showcasing approximately 200 perfume bottles created over the past 100 years, from the late 19th century to the present day. Shiseido's first president, Shinzo Fukuhara, viewed cosmetics as "artworks" capable of creating special emotional value that appeals to the human senses of smell, touch, and sight, and placed particular emphasis on perfume manufacturing as a symbol of this. Since then, Shiseido has inherited this vision, presenting numerous works that have left their mark on the history of perfume bottles, including those by René Lalique, a designer who has established a unique position in the world of modern perfume bottles, and Baccarat, the renowned luxury crystal glass brand. The exhibition will feature approximately 200 perfume bottles from Shiseido's collection, which will be on public display for the first time in two parts: the first part from July 17th to September 27th, and the second part from October 2nd to December 13th. The first part, "Baccarat Crystal Song of Songs," will focus on perfume bottles by Baccarat, such as "VALREINE (Queen of the Bees)" and "KISMET (Fate)." The second part, "René Lalique Visionary Fantasy," will mainly feature perfume bottles by René Lalique, such as "In the Night" and "OUCHON TROIS HIRONDELLES (Three Swallows)."
