Gucci has created a "Fairy Tale Book" from its new jewelry collection, "Le Marché des Merveilles." The installation is currently running at Gucci Aoyama (3-6-7 Kita-Aoyama, Minato-ku, Tokyo) until July 2nd. "Le Marché des Merveilles" is a romantic collection featuring various animal motifs, including cat heads. Thai illustrator Phannapast Taychamaythakool has illustrated a story inspired by the jewelry collection and written by Aracha Cholitgul, creating the "Fairy Tale Book." Phannapast is also one of the artists who participated in "#GucciGram Tian," a digital collaboration project launched by Gucci in 2016 with up-and-coming artists. "Fairy Tale Book" tells three stories set in the "Wonder Factory," where animals work together to create a jewelry collection.
To celebrate the completion of the book, an installation will be held at Gucci Aoyama, where the book's illustrations and jewelry will be displayed like a mini-theater, showcasing all of the items in the "Le Marché des Merveilles" jewelry collection, including necklaces, bracelets, earrings, rings, and hand accessories in 18K gold and sterling silver with gemstones and colored enamel.
In addition, if you follow the official Gucci LINE account (@gucci_jp) until 10:00 PM on July 2, the final day of the installation, you will receive a free "Le Marché des Merveilles"-themed fairy tale wallpaper.
