The Japanese version of Farfetch Discover, a global travel app developed by online shopping site Farfetch, launched on June 19th. The app is a city guide for countries around the world based on a wealth of local knowledge. It features contributions from local fashionistas, such as Cameron Silver, owner of the Los Angeles select shop Decades, and popular blogger Man Repeller. The app introduces places not found in guidebooks, as well as culture and style only known by locals, such as gourmet restaurants in Dallas, California, a secret market on the coast of Dubrovnik on Croatia's Adriatic coast, and a hidden wine bar in Berlin, Germany. The app also includes comprehensive information on famous select shops, allowing users to enjoy meaningful shopping in the cities they visit. It also features a built-in GPS function that guides users to recommended spots. The Tokyo city guide features special introductions from fashion journalists and lifestyle stylists, including Yasuko Furuta, designer of fashion brand TOGA, and Maiko Shibata, creative director of select shop RESTIR. Even those who live in the city will find new discoveries, including cafes perfect for fashion-spotting and authentic vegetarian restaurants. The app also allows users to shop from Farfetch's full range of products, including over 300 boutiques, over 2,000 designers, and over 120,000 items from around the world, including Philadelphia, Monaco, Barcelona, Mumbai, and Helsinki.
