Enjoy a Tahitian breakfast at World Breakfast All Day, including coconut drinks and traditional dishes.

Jun 30, 2015

WORLD BREAKFAST ALLDAY, a cafe restaurant in Gaienmae, Tokyo, serving breakfasts from around the world, will be offering a menu focused on the culinary culture of Tahiti, part of French Polynesia in the South Pacific, in July and August.
Being a French colony since the late 19th century, Tahiti has blended island and French cultures, resulting in a variety of unique dishes using seafood, tropical fruits, vanilla, and more. Breakfast, in particular, is the most important meal for Tahitians, who are known for their early bedtimes and early risers. A plate of this "Tahitian Breakfast" (1,500 yen) will be served.
Coconuts grow all over the island, and fresh coconut milk is always available. The star of Tahiti breakfast is the traditional Tahitian dish of poisson cru, tuna and vegetables tossed in lemon and coconut milk. In addition to the "Poisson Cru," the plate will also include "Pua Roti," a popular Sunday morning dish of roasted pork, "P'oe," oven-baked sliced fruit, and a baguette.

A variety of Tahitian coconut drinks and desserts will also be available. Events such as Tahitian cooking classes and workshops to learn about Tahitian food culture will also be held during the event.
