The fourth installment of "DAC - Danish Art & Culture Week (DAC)," an event organized by flower artist Nicolai Bergmann and lifestyle producer Amanda Bergmann, will be held from July 23rd to 26th at the Nicolai Bergmann Flowers & Design Flagship Store in Tokyo's Minato Ward. DAC, which showcases Danish food culture, art, and lifestyle, will feature a painting exhibition by Peter Martensen, an artist active mainly in Europe and the United States. The fourth installment will also feature a dinner event by chef Mads Magnusson, formerly of Danish restaurant Noma, which was ranked number one in the "World's 50 Best Restaurants" list by British magazine Restaurant. This will be Peter Martensen's first exhibition in Japan, as he is active both domestically and internationally as a painter, visual artist, sculptor, and musician. Peter Martensen expresses his unique surrealist worldview through oil paintings and video works, and his works are housed in leading European museums, including the National Gallery of Denmark in Copenhagen and the Victoria & Albert Museum in London. Mads Magnusson is a chef with a career spanning renowned Michelin-starred restaurants in Denmark, including Noma, Restaurant Kofoed, and Geranium. His New Nordic cuisine at Noma has also garnered attention in Japan. For this exhibition, a special menu featuring seasonal Japanese ingredients will be offered for two nights only, on July 23rd and 24th. Dinner attendees will also receive a fresh flower box with a design exclusive to the exhibition.
