Mori Izumi, Natsuki Mari and others attend the gorgeous Cartier high jewelry ordering event

Jun 22, 2015

From June 2nd to 7th, Cartier held its high jewelry ordering event, "Cartier Royal," at the Kyoto National Museum Meiji Kotokan, a designated Important Cultural Property of Japan. The venue showcased approximately 400 pieces, primarily priced between ¥50 million and ¥100 million, including the latest high jewelry collection, "Cartier Royal," unveiled at last year's Paris Biennale of Antiques and High Jewelry, as well as new high jewelry pieces inspired by various royal families and traditional pieces. Additionally, on the evenings of the 4th and 5th, a gala dinner was held at Shogunzuka Seiryuden Hall, located within the grounds of the Tendai sect's Shoren-in Temple. Approximately 200 guests attended both days, including model Izumi Mori, actress Mari Natsuki, and fashion designer Lawrence Shu. The dinner was spearheaded by Chef Suga Yosuke, who has served as the right-hand man of French master Joël Robuchon for many years and has recently opened his own lab in Kagurazaka, Tokyo. Guests delighted in the original and sophisticated special menu.

Towards the end of the dinner, Kanze school Noh actor Tsumura Reijiro and ballet dancers Sakai Hana and Nishijima Kazuhiro performed "Hagoromo Monogatari," an entertainment piece that combines the traditional Japanese art of Noh with ballet. Their magnificent dance performance on the Seiryuden stage captivated the audience.
