ISSEY MIYAKE MEN has collaborated with artist Meguru Yamaguchi. The collection will be available at ELTTOB TEP ISSEY MIYAKE / GINZA on January 6th, ahead of the rest of the country. Additionally, from January 6th until the 31st, the store's main window will be decorated with a new piece that Yamaguchi created specifically for the occasion. Yamaguchi Meguru is a Brooklyn, New York-based artist whose work elevates brushstrokes into contemporary expression. This special exhibition will feature "OUT OF BOUNDS," a three-dimensional work that transcends the bounds of a square and appears to emerge from the canvas. The piece was created using Yamaguchi's unique "cut and paste" technique, in which he cuts brushstrokes into collages. Items from the collaboration between ISSEY MIYAKE MEN and the collection will be on display. The lineup includes a shirt (short sleeve: ¥50,000, long sleeve: ¥52,000) made with multiple silkscreen prints and a combination of dyes and pigments to create a textured and glossy finish, a large stole (¥28,000) featuring "OUT OF BOUNDS" artworks inkjet printed on lightweight rayon fabric, and denim (¥48,000) with "OUT OF BOUNDS" artworks transferred all over. A lightweight cotton jersey cut-and-sew top (¥30,000) featuring the floral-motif "ALL SOUL" series will also be available. Additionally, new artworks created by Yamaguchi specifically for this occasion will be on display in the main window of ELTB TEP ISSEY MIYAKE / GINZA, and works from the "OUT OF BOUNDS" series will also be available to view inside the store. The collection will be released first at Eltob Tep Issey Miyake/Ginza, and will then be rolled out nationwide from February 1st.
