[LOOK] Dolce & Gabbana unveils its Spring/Summer 2024 women's collection

This season's theme is "WOMAN," expressing a mature, confident and seductive femininity.

Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana drew inspiration from black and white photographs and historical portraits, which is why black and white are the dominant colours in the collection.

The black and white photographs celebrate strong, provocative women, also linking to the refined elegance, clean lines and silhouettes of the 1960s. The designers explored new proportions and volumes based on this new femininity: more mature, yet still highly sensual.

Tulle dresses layered with corsets, tone-on-tone underwear, sheer blouses and asymmetrical jackets. Silk chiffon dresses flowing in the wind are like sculptures, delighting the eye.

Black Sicily and 1960s influences are also evident in the little black dress, featuring a schoolgirl collar and white lace cuffs.

Sartorialism is another important element of the collection. The iconic Dolce jacket is available in three shaped versions: short, medium and long. There are also oversized, masculine jackets with accentuated shoulders and trench coats with wide lapels, all evoking the classic and timeless spirit of Sicilian tailoring.
