Photographer Masayoshi Sukita continues to take photos of David Bowie, proving his life. Approximately 40 precious photographs of Bowie are on display.

Jan 15, 2017

Photographer Masayoshi Sukita's David Bowie photo exhibition, "SUKITA meets BOWIE 'SPEED of LIFE'," will be held at GALLERY X BY PARCO in Shibuya, Tokyo, until January 29th.

Sukita, who has worked on portraits and advertisements for numerous celebrities, including Iggy Pop and YMO, photographed David Bowie the most throughout his career and was the one who brought him widespread recognition. His death last January brought great shock and sadness worldwide. Sukita has been photographing Bowie since the 1970s, and his images are known worldwide as "the symbol of David Bowie."

The exhibition will feature approximately 40 photographs of Bowie taken by Sukita over various periods, on display and for sale. Rare and rarely seen images, such as those taken when Bowie visited Japan, will also be on display. This is an opportunity to fully enjoy the works of SUKITA and Bowie, made possible by the long-standing relationship of trust they have built.
