Photographer Ume Kayo's latest photo book, "White Dog," her first in three years and eight months, will be exhibited at TOBICHI2 in Minami-Aoyama, Tokyo, from January 20th to February 5th. Ume Kayo has previously focused on a variety of people, from the little boys in her neighborhood to her grandpa in Noto, but this time, she has chosen the Ume family's beloved dog, Ryo, as her main subject. The exhibition will feature new photographs of the "white dog," which has frequently appeared in Ume's previous photo books. A talk show will be held on January 22nd at 4:00 PM featuring Ume's younger sister, Haruka, who lived with Ryo at her parents' home in Noto. Applications are being accepted online until 11:00 AM on January 19th (http://www.1101.com/umekayo_tobichi2/index.html). If there are a large number of applicants, a lottery will be held, and the winners will be notified by email on January 20th.
