[HOHO#006 Event Completed] Want to know what truly delicious coffee is? A Valentine's Day coffee seminar from the owner of Mui

Jan 14, 2017
The secret to great coffee is surprisingly simple,” says Masafumi Osawa, owner of Mui, a coffee shop in Motosumiyoshi, Kanagawa.
... The roasting factory can be seen through the glass at the back of the shop. There, the roasting staff carefully removes damaged beans by hand, and only carefully selected beans are slowly roasted in a small roaster.

Osawa's journey to great coffee has as its goal the "ideal deliciousness," and like cooking toward that goal, he works backwards to plan the process for the flavor. From proper roasting to bean selection, the standard is always whether the coffee is delicious... His thinking is quite simple, building on the basics and teaching us the importance of returning to the essence of flavor. On February 4th, just before Valentine's Day, HOHO Smile EVENTS will host "Mui's Coffee Seminar for Valentine's Day," with Osawa as host. During this seminar, participants will taste and compare coffees brewed from seven or eight different beans carefully selected by Osawa, helping them find the perfect coffee for them. They will also learn drip-brewing tips for enjoying delicious coffee at home, helping them take the first step toward a delicious coffee lifestyle. "For example, when it comes to French wine, people are asked about its origin, such as Bordeaux, Burgundy, or Rhône. But when it comes to Colombian coffee, they rarely ask where in Colombia it's from. Even though coffee has become more familiar, it still remains a challenging experience. I hope that this event will allow people to discover new flavors and stories, and that coffee will become a part of their lives," says Osawa. Why not explore what "delicious" tastes like to your own taste buds and discover your favorite coffee?
