On the weekend of December 17th, just one week until Christmas Eve, KIGI, Aoki Musubi, and FH (=FASHION HEADLINE) held the 5th "Customize Deco Ornaments" event at H.P.DECO as part of "HOHO" Smile EVENTS presented by KIGI/FH/MUSUBI (hereinafter referred to as HOHO).
The host for the day was Aoki Musubi, who works in artwork, magazine and advertising styling, shop production, and also runs her own brand, THROW A KISS. The idea behind this event was to decorate Christmas ornaments into one-of-a-kind ornaments using parts brought by Aoki herself!
The table was overflowing with decorative parts, including colorful glitter powder, sequins, Swarovski crystals, beads of various sizes, gold and silver studs and chains, feathers, ribbons, artificial flowers, chromos, moles, and more - all things that will tickle your childlike spirit, like an overturned jewelry box. Just looking at them will give you ample ideas.

Most of the parts used for customization are Aoki Musubi's personal belongings

There are so many, it's hard to decide what to use
We started by using glitter powder to make it look gorgeous. Creating the initial base using this glitter is an important step in improving the quality of the finished product. Large details and fur were added later. Apparently, mixing glass beads into the glitter makes it even more brilliant!

Sprinkle glitter to create the base, then decorate it with larger parts on top

The sparkle is enhanced when glass beads are densely packed in
Participants looked at the various parts and expanded their imaginations about the finished product. On this day, Aoki Musubi released a huge collection of parts that she has collected little by little while traveling around Japan and the world. Tooth-shaped rings, cigarette earrings, seashells, Lego blocks, guitar picks, fountain pen nibs... Musubi's drawers are apparently filled with many other parts filled with memories.

Parts that make you want to pick them up one by one

Everyone was working diligently
It was HOHO's first time that day, and some teenage students were in attendance. The pop banana ornaments were chic and edgy, adorned with silver glitter, studs, black Swarovski crystals, and chains. The crocodile ornaments were funky, adorned with stars, large rhinestones, and cigarette earrings. The fairies were made to look more realistic by using a glue gun to hold shiny apples and adding feathers to their backs. After around two hours, the one-of-a-kind customized ornaments were completed, and by the time their hands were sparkling with glitter, too. The workshop was filled with a warm and cozy atmosphere, fitting for the holiday season. How will you spend your Christmas with your newly sparkling ornaments?
