On January 19th, Kim Jones' Louis Vuitton men's show for Fall/Winter 2017-18 took place in a special tent inside the Palais Royal.
With New York as its image city, the collection projected the elegance of uptown and the casual street vibe of downtown. While incorporating elements of hip-hop culture, the collection drew on color palettes from paintings by Jean-Michel Basquiat, Andy Warhol, and Keith Haring, and featured skyscraper prints for a truly New York-themed look. A sophisticated trench coat was paired with wide-leg pants and sneakers, showcasing a clever blend of style and casual chic. Particularly eye-catching this season was the collaboration with Supreme, which Kim Jones considers essential to his beloved New York style. The collection includes baseball shirts and blousons made of jacquard with the monogram and Supreme logo, side bags and card cases that mix Epi and logo, and even a turntable bag that mixes the monogram and logo.
