On January 26th, THOM BROWNE. NEW YORK held its 2015-16 Autumn/Winter men's collection show at a commercial facility in the 19th arrondissement, just outside Paris.

Three white rooms were set up in front of the runway: a desk, chair, and tea set in the left room, a bed and closet in the center, and a desk, chair, and typewriter in the right.

A male model got up from the bed in the center room, took a white suit from the closet, and put it on. He then drank tea and typed on the typewriter in the adjacent rooms. He then returned to the center room, changed into a black suit, and drew the black curtains hanging in the adjacent rooms, turning the entire wall black. The central room was also blackened, and the black futon and pillow, which were black on one side, were turned inside out, and the model got into the black bed and went to sleep. This signified the man's death, and as the black snow fell, the models played mourners.

Each model wore a hat designed by Stephen Jones and an all-black costume. While the collection continued to feature mannish looks, such as mouton coats, coats with mink trim on the collar, sleeves, and hem, and astrakhan jackets, the occasional veiled hat, skirt, or tweed jacket mixed in for a more ladylike look.

The collection, which exuded a dark aura throughout, occasionally featured a cape with turtle appliqué, a satin jacket embroidered with turtles, and a leather bag in the shape of a whale, adding a touch of Tom Browne's signature humor to the otherwise gloomy atmosphere, providing a welcome relief to the viewer.
